Conservation Director Hired!

Highstead is pleased to announce that Emily M. Bateson has joined the staff as Conservation Director.

Bateson will take a leadership role in the strategic effort by Highstead to advance the Wildlands and Woodlands Initiative goal of doubling the pace of forestland conservation in New England.

Highstead’s Regional Conservationist to speak at CT Audubon Program

Highstead’s Regional Conservationist, Bill Labich, will give a talk on large-landscape conservation as part of Audubon’s Master Bird Conservationist Program. The presentation will take place on March 7 at Bridgeport City Hall.

Bethel Land Purchase in Line with Highstead Conservation Goals

JAN 17--Bethel citizens voted in favor of the town’s plan to purchase 72 acres of land for conservation. The land is a key piece in a larger vision of conservation in Fairfield County.
