Join us for an art opening! Over 40 paintings highlighting the medicinal values of plants and animals in folklore, traditional medicine and natural remedies will be on display at Highstead. Come meet the artists from the Guild of Natural Science Illustrators (Greater NY Chapter) and hear the stories and inspirations that gave rise to their work. There will be descriptive panels underscoring the medicinal values of each of the pictured remedies. This wonderfully educational and varied exhibition will feature works in watercolor, gouache, colored pencil, graphite and a number of etching/aquatints.
